Preschool Disabilities Program

The Franklin Township Public School System operates programs that service resident children from three to five years of age who may be experiencing a delay or disorder that puts them at risk educationally.  These delays may be in the area of language, cognition, motor development, or social skills.

Resident children who demonstrate any of the above noted delays should be referred to Dr. Brenda Sofield in the Department of Special Services in Franklin Township schools at 732-873-2400 Ext 203.

Parents who suspect that their child is experiencing delays are entitled to free help from their school district Child Study Team.

For more information, please call 732-873-2400, or write to the offices of Special Services at 2301 Route 27, Somerset, NJ, 08873.
